Olympic West Parking Structure
Expansive Parking Structure to Support Downtown Entertainment
The Olympic West Parking Structure is a 1,000,000-square-foot facility on six acres in downtown Los Angeles designed to accommodate up to 2,700 vehicles. Primarily serving events at L.A. Live, Staples Center (now Crypto.com) Arena and the Los Angeles Convention Center, the parking structure responded to the overwhelming demand of the bustling urban landscape around it.
The structure comprises three levels below ground and two levels above. The above-grade portion is uniquely reinforced, capable of bearing the weight of multiple semi-trucks and satellite broadcast vehicles concurrently – a significant consideration given the entertainment-centric locale. Large beams fortify the ground level to support the structural steel frame convention center and theater. Additionally, an extra-wide ramp and tunnel were incorporated for semi-trucks to effortlessly access the adjacent LA Live complex and hotels.
